Last Saturday a friend of mine called to tell me they were having a tractor pull at the coliseum here in town. Her little boy loves tractors and she knows how much Andrew does, too. For those of you who don't know, Andrew LOVES tractors. He has all kinds. In fact, he has so many John Deere tractors that we have had to branch out to other brands. He is now starting on CATERPILLARS and NEW HOLLANDS. And believe me, he can definitely tell you which is which! This is all quite funny to Phillip and me seeing as how we are both city folk!
Phillip stayed home with Aiden (because of all the noise and fumes from the tractors), and I put Andrew in the car and told him that we were going somewhere for a surprise. When we pulled into the parking lot at the coliseum, he started seeing some of the tractors in the parking lot. Then when we went inside, he just stopped and stared in amazement. It took him a minute to adjust to the noise, but after that, he was mesmerized. Sat in my lap and told me all about the different tractors.

They had a tractor pull just for the kids. Andrew was so excited to get to give it a try. Then, for his efforts, he got to pick out a toy tractor to take home.

If you would have asked me a few years ago if I wanted to go to a tractor pull, my answer most assuredly would have been no. However, knowing that this was something that my little man would enjoy so much, I would have wanted to be nowhere else on Saturday. I am so glad I got to spend this special time with my sweet little guy!
