Day 2....

This was our first full day in Destin, and we spent it in the water and sand! Well, most of us...Aiden stayed back at the house. We wanted to be very careful to make sure he did not get too much sun. It worked out perfectly since our house was just across the street from the beach. We just took turns going back and forth to the beach while someone stayed at the house with him.
AHH....Look at that beautiful water! The weather was perfect, and since we went before the official summer season began, the beaches were not crowded at all.

Here is Andrew getting his tools ready to build a sandcastle.
My sweet boy...check out the sunglasses!
After a while at the beach, Andrew decided he would like to go for a swim in the pool. We were fortunate that the house we rented had its own private pool, just big enough for us. Andrew LOVED it...and since Christina is a lifeguard and teaches swim lessons, it worked out perfectly. She was able to work with Andrew a little bit on his swimming. He is still wearing his floaties, but is doing great. They worked a lot on kicking. And he is NOT ONE BIT afraid of the water. He loves jumping in and going under.
Aiden joined us outside while we grilled out.
After a fun day of swimming, we all got ready and went to eat at one of our favorite spots, The Crab Trap, right on the beach. Before we went in, we were able to get a few pics.
My boys!!
My sweet family!

Andrew was very excited that his meal was served in a sand pail with a shovel.

Yes, this is my husband...what can I say??
(For those of you reading this who go to our church...sorry you have to see your pastor like this!!!)
Just kidding...I LOVE his sense of humor!
